Art Journaling: Journal52 - Week 2

One of my creative goals this year is to do more art journaling.  I've recently gotten into Journal52 's weekly prompts and Mike Deakin's monthly prompts in Mission Inspiration.  For Journal52 's second weekly prompt, I put this together with various purples and Jeremiah 29:11 in mind for the hope aspect.  I might not do all of the prompts from Journal52 and Mike Deakin, but I like having their prompts available when I need that push of inspiration.

Journal 52 - Week 2 - Hope

To prep the pages I used circle die cuts of old text book pages, bits of torn tissue paper, tea bag wrappers before going over with white gesso and various purple water color paints.  I then added scraps of magazine pieces to add to the corners and focal point.

I used small letter stamps with Distressed purple ink on scrap trace paper for the focal point of "hope."

For the verse, I used a black Faber Castell pen instead of printing it.  I wanted to emphasis certain words and allow the text to flow through the page.

Happy creating, and happy art journaling!
